Part sculpture, part symbol and part conversation piece, the Lunares Wishbone is an object designed to be noticed, styled and given meaning over time.
Handcrafted in aluminum and polished to a high silver shine or finished in goldplate, these sculptural Wishbones are modern objets d’art built around one of the world’s most culturally familiar symbols of luck, hope and possibility. The form is instantly recognizable, yet interpreted through the scale, finish and craftsmanship of Lunares it becomes something altogether more expressive.
Style a Wishbone on a pile of art books on a coffee table, layer one into a bookshelf alongside collected objects, place it on a console or mantel, or display it on its own as a singular sculptural piece. Available in multiple sizes and finishes, several Wishbones can also be grouped together to create a more dramatic composition.
More than decorative accessories, they become natural conversation pieces wherever they are placed. Their symbolism also makes them meaningful gifts for housewarmings, weddings, holidays, graduations and life’s important moments, a reminder of luck, possibility and dreams still to come.
Representing hopes, dreams and possibilities, the Wishbone has become a timeless symbol of the house of Lunares.
Each of our creations is designed in our San Francisco studio. Using centuries-old sand-casting techniques, master craftsmen create the original mould before skilled artisans handcraft and finish every piece with pride in our family-owned factory. Because each piece is made and finished by hand, subtle variations are part of its individual character.
